Summary of complaint
We received complaints from people who felt the audience for the debate had a left-leaning bias.
Our response
As Mishal Husain explained at the beginning of the programme, the audience was selected by the pollsters, Savanta, to reflect the broad electoral map of Great Britain and included supporters of the seven parties taking part in the debate, as well as some undecided voters.
The questions came from the audience; each of the representatives of the seven parties had ample time to speak and get their points across.Â
