I loved the way they made me feel like part of the family. It was so good, just being in that house and living with them, I felt relaxed and calm.”
— Yasmin speaking about living with her host family

The No Accommodation Network (NACCOM) is a UK-wide network of 140+ organisations that provide safe, temporary accommodation and wide-ranging support to people going through the UK asylum and immigration system who have nowhere else to live. Our members accommodate around 3,000 people each year through volunteer hosting placements, housing and night shelters, with the aim of empowering people to move on from homelessness, resolve their asylum claim, and rebuild their lives.

We are so grateful to everyone who donated to our ±«Óătv Radio 4 appeal, which was presented by Lord Alf Dubs. His powerful personal testimony of fleeing Nazi-occupied Czechoslovakia as a child refugee and arriving in England to start a new life helped move listeners to donate an incredible £33,958.

Your support will go a long way to ensure that people like Yasmin, whose story featured in the appeal, can access stable accommodation when they need it most. Yasmin, who was five months pregnant when she was hosted through one of our member organisations, urgently needed a safe place to recover from violence and trauma, as well as specialist support to progress her asylum claim. Yasmin went on to receive refugee status and trained to become a teaching assistant. She is now proud to provide a safe, loving home for her son, and hopes that one day he will be inspired by his mum’s courage.

Despite offering over 400,000 nights of temporary accommodation each year, the network is still not able to offer a bed to everyone who needs it. This year, your support will enable us to provide expert training and guidance to our members to increase the number of people they can accommodate and enhance their services so that more people can overcome homelessness and rebuild their lives, as Yasmin did. Thank you for your support.
