Over 400 Radio 4 listeners gave incredibly generously to our appeal in September and raised over £44,177 for some of the world’s most marginalised communities.
These gifts will support Practical Action’s work around the world which includes installing solar mini-grids in Zimbabwe and Malawi, generating electricity for remote communities and helping them access clean water to grow food and earn a living.
Thanks to these donations we will also be able to power health clinics and schools – providing vital healthcare, education and opportunity to those who need it most.
One gift we received was from an individual who decided to donate their own solar panel fund to the appeal – amazing!
