Radio 4 Appeal Fund

Charities Trust logo - giving feels good

Sometimes listeners choose to support all our Radio 4 Appeal charities. If you wish to, you can do so by making a one-off or regular donation to the Radio 4 Appeal Fund. You may also consider leaving a legacy to this Fund. All the charities will benefit from your generous gift over the course of a year. In 2022, thanks to the generosity of listeners, some of it through legacies, the Radio 4 Appeal fund was able to distribute £369,697.82 to the weekly charities.

The Radio 4 Appeal Fund is run by the Charities Trust, registered charity number 327489.

Charities Trust receive the donations for the Radio 4 Appeal Fund, claim any eligible gift aid and disburse funds to the participating charities. They take a small fixed quarterly fee from this to cover their costs.

If you would like to make a one-off donation by cheque, please make it payable to: Radio 4 Appeal Fund.

If you would like to make a regular donation by setting up a standing order, please download  and follow the instructions on top of the form or instruct your bank online.

If you would like Charities Trust to claim the gift aid on your one-off or regular donation, please download

You can post your cheques and gift aid forms to:

Charities Trust, Suite 20-22, Century Building, Tower Street, Liverpool, L3 4BJ

You can find out more about  here.

You may be able to increase your donation by 25% at no extra cost to you through the Gift Aid scheme? You must be a UK tax payer and understand that if you pay less Income Tax and/or Capital Gains Tax than the amount of Gift Aid claimed on all your donations in the tax year, it is your responsibility to pay the difference.

Thank you so much to all of our listeners who have chosen to donate in this way. You can see the impact of your donations here.
