Perhaps most famous for its two spectacular Rose Gardens, Rosemoor boasts everything from a naturalistic Woodland Garden filled with rhododendrons and camellias, to the quintessentially English Long Borders, 150m of outstanding annuals, perennials, shrubs and bulbs. Another unmissable space is the riot of colour to be found in the Hot Garden in summer, soon to be joined by the complementary Cool Garden with a palette of white and blue flowers and silvery foliage, set to open in 2019. The recently-opened Stumpery is a fascinating spot to see lush ferns and other shade-loving plants growing among the gnarled roots of upturned tree stumps.
Check out what’s on during the school holidays for plenty of garden-themed family fun all year round, as well as dozens of other events throughout the year, including the Rosemoor Flower Show in August. In winter, the Glow illuminations light up the darker evenings with festive colour. For more information and to find out what’s on, visit the website.
