A disturbing Afghanistan commentary from the respected Washington security analyst Anthony Cordesman: "Key elements of the Afghan government have become almost as serious a problem as the Taliban ... (President) Karzai's actions raise serious questions as to whether we will ever have the kind of partner that offers a hope of lasting victory."
