Just Maybe

A few weeks ago we had a "brainstorm" in the office (alright then, a chat) about what we'd call the category of stories we're looking at and may do if we can. "Just Maybe" got the most votes , while "things we're looking at and hope to be able to do if we get the right people to talk" came last. Still, that's democracy for you.

So here's a few stories that are "on the bench" (another contender) at the moment. Feel free to add to these-or help us- as much as you can.

One of the biggest stories in Britain this week has been the call-up of 17 year old to the England World Cup squad..
Ok, Theo's a long way from a 4 year old Indian boy but his call-up prompted a lot of debate in this country about "if you're good enough, you're old enough" while the tale of the Indian boy has got people talking about child prodigies; when does "encouragement" cross over into "exploitation"?

Here's a story that happened last year in the . The anniversary is this Saturday and a U.S based group called say that a year on, there's been -in their words- "no justice".
With our ±«Óãtv collleagues in the language services at Bush House, we'll try to get some voices from there...

and France is holding it's for the victims of slavery, which got us thinking whether countries should do it or already do it. And how important are apologies for slavery?
