July 7 bombings and Somalia

Peter van Dyk | 12:41 UK time, Thursday, 11 May 2006

First, an apology that there was no "Set the Agenda" post this morning - a lack of people means there won't be one tomorrow either. But you can always let us know what you'd like to talk about.

Anyway, today we're looking at a into the July 7 bombings. The include the suggestion that with greater resources the bombers might have been stopped.

The MPs did say it was not the fault of the security services.

What do you think? Do you worry about an attack in your city? What steps can be taken to prevent terrorist attacks? Join our debate .

As well as asking what can be done to stop further attacks, we'll be talking to Muslims in the UK about what it's like living here after the attacks. How integrated do they feel. And what about their community?

We'll also be returning to Somalia. We heard from a doctor there, who told us about the situation in Mogadishu, which has been experiencing its worst fighting in a decade. As well as hearing from people there and Somalis around the world we'll be asking if the international community is ignoring the situation there and what can be done about it.

And, if time permits, we'll hear from Nigeria about the killing of one American oil worker on Wednesday and the kidnapping of three more foreign workers today.
