That's what happened to Neville Clayton, who spotted his mum, Jennifer, and sister, Anne, [pictured here] on a weekly shopping trip to the [1min 15s into the film].

At first Neville didn't see the family resemblance. It was only later when Jennifer watched the film for herself that she realised she and daughter Anne were among the unwitting 'stars'.

Neville, who contacted us to find out more about the film, said: "None of us had ever seen it before and mum has no recollection of anyone ever filming her going into the Butchers Market. However, it was a very long time ago!"

The film had been made for a ±«Óãtv schools programme in 1965 showing how the county was served by industry.

The original film also included scenes of colliers going below ground at the former Gresford Colliery and the working life of the former Brymbo Steelworks.

Neville said: "I viewed this footage a few months back and had no idea it was my family in one part.

"Likewise, when my mum found it last week she spotted herself but, not believing what she saw, she pulled in dad who confirmed she was not going senile!

"That's when she spoke to me to check out the footage. My excuse was that it is B&W!"

Neville said he was fascinated to see the old footage showing how much Wrexham town centre had changed over the years.

"Although only a brief clip, the place names from the bus shelter had locations such as Bersham Colliery which is long gone.

"I was also surprised just how much traffic and how many people were pottering around."
