Minister apologises for deaths of airmen -
A cabinet minister has apologised for the deaths of 14 air crew, one of whom was originally from Buckley, in a mid-air explosion. Flt Lt Allan Squires, whose family came from the town and who went to Hawarden High School, died after his Nimrod reconnaissance plane exploded after refuelling over Afghanistan in September.
Police obtain crackhouse closure order in Shotton -
Police in Deeside have obtained a closure order on a crackhouse on North Street in Shotton.
