Judith Isherwood leaves the WMC

So Judith Isherwood, chief executive of Wales Millennium Centre is heading back to her native Australia. Frankly, I'm gutted.

In the seven years since she's been here, Judith has achieved what she set out to do. She steered a large arts ship - a first of its kind in Wales - through the choppy waters of a grand scale opening season that would establish the programme of events as being both Welsh and international enough to guarantee bums on seats.

Andrew Logan at the Museum of Sculpture

August Bank Holiday weekend and the Mid Wales village of Berriew's annual show is not where you'd necessarily expect to find an artist.

There was plenty to entertain visitors - the usual agricultural and livestock competitions, displays by birds of prey and plenty of fun for the children - but I'd gone to record an interview with the artist Andrew Logan, whose Museum of Sculpture is based in the village.
