The birdsong quiz

Ah, the joys of nature. I've been sitting here working in a tent surrounded by technical equipment but delighting in the fact that I am also obviously surrounded by nature. Despite the clouds and the rain, and the whirr of overheating computers, birdsong is flooding in from the world of greenery outside. But then I guess that's the least one can expect on a nature reserve. Or is it...?

I mentioned to a colleague how the birdsong was lifting my spirits despite the grisly weather, and he pointed out (slightly too loudly for my liking) that it wasn't 'live' bird song that I was hearing but the sound of the Birdsong Quiz currently to be found on the Nature pages of ±«Óãtv Wales. It seems that everybody else in the tent was listening to it and no one had told The Mole...

Of course birdsong will always make me smile, but it has to be said that my smile is slightly smaller than it was a minute ago, and my blush slightly deeper. Nevertheless, everybody else in the tent is smiling more than they were and some are even laughing, so on aggregate the world is a happier place. (Though I'd prefer they didn't point at me as that's bordering on bad manners...)

Anyway, if you want to make the world a happier place then play the audio clip nice and loud, and watch the smiles around you grow. Then tell everybody to look out the window and see if they can spot the birds...
