Hair, Hull, hoops, and more

Amanda Farnsworth | 11:23 UK time, Wednesday, 3 October 2007

Thanks for all your feedback on . Don't forget we publish a selection of your comments, so feel free to contribute, either on this blog or our . Here are some answers to the points and questions you raised:

CYCLING
Could we do a feature about and his hopes for Olympic triumph? In the next run of Inside Sport we'll be doing a lot of Olympic items in the run up to , we'll put this idea in the pot we'll be looking to choose from.

BASKETBALL
For those that were wondering about our basketball debate, I think Buncey was trying to say he thinks, of all the American sports coming to London this autumn, is most likely to become Britain's fourth sport after football, rugby and cricket. And he was also talking about whether a big -style competition could ever happen in the UK.

FORMULA ONE
Why don't we have more ? Our big problem is that we don't have access to any F1 pictures. You may notice ±«Óãtv News does but only for a limited period after a Grand Prix. Inside Sport, under the terms of the rights agreement with F1, is not classed as a pure news programme. That makes it very hard for us to do pieces with no action at all. However, our Inside Opinion piece a couple of weeks ago was on F1 and this Monday coming, if wins, as he may well do, we'll have a lot on Formula One.

PROGRAMME
When we get a decent news line we think it's right to let as many parts of the ±«Óãtv's audience hear it and that's why we always make sure the other parts of the ±«Óãtv's sport output like Radio 5live get access to our journalism. So we're not "leaking", we're trying to give maximum value for the ±«Óãtv's audience. Yes, Mihir Bose is indeed a great asset to the programme and when he has a story he always comes on.

Paul Cooke, Hull KR, congratulates Hull FC players at Cardiff Millennium Magic

HULL
One viewer felt our piece was a little unfair. I don't think we tried to portray Hull fans, FC or KR, as hooligans - the pitch invasion was described as quite out of the ordinary by Tony Livesey and it only made up a very short part of the film. has added spice to the long-held rivalry this season but you are right, there are many other sporting rivalries in the world and it was this that we picked up on in the studio chat afterwards.

DARRELL HAIR
We received a wide range of opinion on this, though some felt we did not address the racism issue. In fact we did point it out in the piece and put to the allegation that he was racist - the piece contained his answer where he disputed that allegation. He, in turn, has accused the ICC of racism, this too has been denied by the ICC and was contained in the piece.

Thanks again for all your comments, suggestions, and questions. Keep them coming!
