Eddie Mair | 08:52 UK time, Wednesday, 26 September 2007

first, regular frogger Roberto in Miami sends: "Roberto with the University of Miami Sports Mascot called Sebastian". Roberto is on the right.

And below is a snap of some props I saw sitting around on my way through TV Centre this morning. They could be empties from the Newsnight green room.

I was really disappointed that a number of the people getting through to "Any Answers" were banging on about over-population being the big problem facing the world and that more than overwhelmed the profligate use of oil and other natural resources by people in the West.

I was even more disappointed that Eddie Mair was obviously not knowledgable enough to set them straight.

The fact is that fertility is now very low or falling rapidly in almost every human population. But for some reason people this fact just doesn't seem to sink in.

I'm surprised there's not been more comment on 'canned laughter' personally!

For those who missed Any Answers' one contributor did not believe that people could laugh at Radio 4's comedy output. - very funny - Hrumph!

Does 2 really need testing *twice*? :-)

    Yippee -- that wasn't a 502, it was malicious.

Well, I wrote a nice frivolous comment for you, asking whether 2 really needed testing twice.

It got a 502; then it got a 'malicious'; then it got a 'stalled'; finally it threw me back to a different thread! I wonder what will happen this time.

    Ed,
Was that two Testing 2s or one Testing 2 twice, ie, repeated?

I had made a witty remark (well, in a manner of speaking) about Paxo and Miliband and whether the empty barrels explained Goliath's attack on little David last night - but Room 502 swallowed up my pearls, as it is swallowing up the pearls of fellow froggers, and, well, it's all a bit disheartening, isn't it?
