Rather a busy morning.
I forgot that I had a monthly meeting at 10. Good chat about "The Blog Prog". We may not call it that.
Am looking forward very much to something I'm doing after PM that will be broadcast later this month on Radio 4. What would YOU ask three former and one current controller of the network?

And I wonder, if you have any personal memories of the remarkable Jane Tomlinson, who has died.
I don't think I ever interviewed her, but she was on the platform at a university graduation ceremony I attended in Dundee. The sustained standing ovation she received was astoundingly moving. I thought it would never end, and didn't want it to. The work she did seemed to touch people in all manner of ways. Just wondered if you met her, or, like me, had a shared experience of her.

Jane Tomlinson was truly a remarkable lady, her incredible feats raised an estimated £1.75m for charities in the Yorkshire area including Macmillan Cancer Support, Sparks, Bluebell Wood Children's Hospice in Doncaster, Hannah House Respite Centre in her home town, paediatric services at Leeds Teaching Hospitals where she worked and also Martin House Children's Hospice near Boston Spa, in Leeds. Above all that, however, she was also a mum-of-three - and chances are, that's how she would most like to be remembered.
What sad news about Jane Tomlinson. She was, as has been pointed out, a remarkable lady. To do what she did knowing the fact her cancer would eventually get her is an example to us all.
What an inspiratonal person she was and incredibly strong & determined. To do what she did withoutterminal cancer would be amazing enough. It's very sad news to hear that she's died.
I have to confess that I've not heard that much about Jane Tomlinson up to now. None-the-less from the reports I've read she was clearly a remarkable person. My sympathies to her family and friends on their loss.
So sorry to hear that Jane Tomlinson has died. As Wonko said she was a truly remarkable person.

It was truly heartbreaking to hear this morning that Jane Tomlinson had died. What an inspiration to us all in her fight and her courage.
Very sad to hear that Jane Tomlinson has finally lost her fight against cancer, but she will clearly be much remembered for the way in which she used her last years and the resolute way in which she challenged her illness.
Listening to her was an inspiration. She deserves every plaudit she will get.
This is going to be most unpopular ,but with out casting any doubt on Janes huge achievements may I also applaud her family who have dedicated their efforts in her support.Medicine now enables us so survive long beyond our sell by date and families can labour for years caring and worrying as we struggle to hold on to our life ,sometimes demanding all, as our thoughts turn soley to our own survival.I have watched families struggle with intolerable burdens as on lookers applaud the bravery of the dying individual .Teenage girls who should be enjoying themselves devoting their years to their long dying mothers.Families,because they love us ,would selflessly deny it should be any other way. But should we let them?There is something to be said in laying down our lives so that others may live theirs.
