    Many feckless fathers create more than one "Family", and some mothers have children by more than one father. So perhaps Mr. C thinks they should all be put in one large building together... Sounds even easier to administer than the Child Support Agency.

    Perhaps someone with some real local knowledge could post some fascinating facts about Lancaster that Eddie could substitute ?

    Built around 1625, this is reputedly Lancaster’s oldest townhouse and was once home to the chilling witch-hunter Thomas Covell (Pendle Witches 1612), six times Mayor of Lancaster and Keeper of Lancaster Castle for 48 years. In this latter capacity he was responsible for the imprisonment and death of the Lancashire Witches

    I like the "anonymous" reply re Mr Knibbs' employment. (We know who you are though...) And fancy blaming Lissa for letting him get big. As the owner of a "rotund" cat myself, sometimes it's impossible to diet them. They just pester til they get fed. Ours goes out & kills things if he's not happy with the meals delivered. Then he brings in the dead stuff, or even the half alive stuff, & lays it out for our delight. I suspect Mr K might be equally strong -willed?
