has tried for days to send pics of her France trip - but for some reason they get quarantined by the ±«Óãtv. What CAN have been on them. Still - she stuck with it and today this arrived:
"From a lovely weekend in Paris, apparently in the springtime, judging by the weather - plenty of soleil and not a nuage in the ciel. The plane appearing to fly over the Eiffel Tower is real enough, and I swear that bottom bit was there when I looked through the viewfinder.......Best Wishes from Gossipmistressx"

How did you do it. I once flew one with a banner, but making that much smoke must have cleared at least one Parisien bar - hopefully not the Old Navy on Bvd St Germain.....
Actually, I think GM trained a stunt fly that carried a very small can of the smoke they use in aerobatic displays. She smuggled the fly over, then it flew about 6" in front of the camera at her signal...
You didn't say it was a working holiday GM!

FFred - it took me years, years to train that fly.
He was called Ernie (his friend, Eric was half a bee) - I say was because unfortunately he met with a tragic accident on the way home.
He escaped from his jam jar on the Eurostar and before I could translate 'Stop! He's a stunt fly' a frenchman swatted him with a copy of 'Le Monde'. What a sad way to go. It wasn't even The Times.

Re shorter people being better photographers - no, we just get a good view of folks' knees.
Hello Valery, I do like the way that you deal with my nonsense in such a methodical and sensible manner. But it does make me feel more inclined to nonsense.
Do you have any decent pictures of well-known knees? I understand the the current vogue among "celebs" is the "knee-job" (Cosmetic surgery, before you think smutty thoughts...)
Hi Aperitif - I think it's a lifelong attempt at getting the last word in! I had an older brother you see, and I had to give better than I got, but it has tended to make me a bit of a conversation-stopper. Tell me when I'm spoiling it for you! Lift and tuck above the knees I believe (I saw something about Victoria Beckham on the front of a magazine. I get all of my celeb gossip from the front of magazines when I'm buying my Radio Times...) Btw, this may be silly but it is not my nonsense.

Well, I admit, they've managed to put up the scaffolding, but after a century, do you think the builders might actually start on the tower? Perhaps they should get a few Polish builders in.
