    I find that quite a lot of Scots men sound the same , although John Reid always sounds querulous to me whereas Charles is more mellifluous (can't spell that but who cares - sorry Val P, you probably do! actually I care but I can't see a different way to spell it even though it looks wrong).

    Maybe there is just Stroppy Scot and Not Stroppy Scot.

    "Querulous" versus "Mellifluous" (spelling fine by me) eh? Hmm, I think of John Reid as more aggressive certainly, but when one is asleep it's not always so striking. Charles Kennedy I find very dull - a bit sing-songy and in need of winding up to speed. But, honest, in the land of nod they are easily confused.

    Wills, hmm. Last time I thought about wills I was about to get on a ferry with my mother. I rang my aunt and left my 'living will' on her voicemail along with details of where to find the will proper. She wasn't really worried about us getting on a ferry until she heard that... I'm just really scared of ships -- not once I'm on them, but seeing them in the water. But that's a whole other story...
