When will Kirsty be back? its been weeks and i cant watch the show unless it is Gavin or kirsty - as decent, intelligent humans they make me feel that the world will be a better place as long as they are in it. It is very irresponsible for her to disappear for so long.

On St Georges Day perhaps one approach might be to see how the human mind considers matters,

ie the Immigrant and Emigrants view of this country,

to the person leaving there are greener fields abroad, to the immigrant we are the most compassionate society on earth that cares for its weakest members-

I subscribe to the second view, and think socieities overseas might look brighter and better options but only while you remain strong,

this is why I will always be a cheerleader for this country...

the human mind again, if you win the lottery you will be happy for 2 years and then perceptions plateu off, and likewise we do not all go around thinking how fortunate we are if we can walk etc,

the human mind simply isn't wired this way, but on the flip side it is this same process perhaps that can allow a person to survive and triumph over the hardest toughest situations,

fascinating really, it gives me hope, someone might be the richest person in the World but the psycholocal process -may- not allow them to enjoy life as much as the poorest person....

At PMQs today, Gordon Brown - he of the Moral Compass (whatever happened to that?) - declared that rigging an election result is UNACCEPTABLE. That's put paid to British democracy!

I don't know what you're trying to say yet buddy but you're certainly making them bob and weave.

I agree with Althusser (comment #3). But
according to 'The Herald' Kirsty is baking:

"It may come as a surprise to discover that Newsnight presenter Kirsty wark has been baking all her life, starting out as a toddler at her late mother's apron strings. But on Saturday her homemade pancakes, scones, banana bread and tray bakes will be on sale at Partick farmers' market for Maggie's Cancer Caring Centres".

We have one of these in Dundee - designed by Frank Gehry. The cancer day care centre,
that is, not Kirsty's cup cakes. All power to her elbow! I hear the banana cake is great.

An awesome selection on this day for a premier broadcast news programme to sink its teeth into.

But I just have to ask, what aspect of this is there to 'debate'?:

well that goes some way to explaining where Kirsty has been - lets hope she brings some with her when she returns otherwise that will be an unhappy production office!
