The KR trials are still happening and Newsnight hasn't reported on them. There are several interesting themes arising from this: trial vs. truth & reconciliation, why is international justice such a lottery, will anyone ever face sentence before they die....

It is 3 months since Annapolis. Kids are being killed this week by the IDF. Hamas have offered a cease fire, the Israelis haven't rejected it, because they pretend not to know what Hamas is saying (we don't talk to terrorists, as the old story goes). The US won't talk to Hamas, the EU won't (and we saw via the Kosovo debacle that the EU is an instrument of the US anyway). So what hope of progress? The UN claim that no progress has been made between Fatah & the Israeli government either. What exactly is the Israeli strategy?
