In a tradition dating from medieval times, farm labourers would bring a plough to the door of the church to be blessed on the the first Monday after Twelfth Night, known as Plough Monday. But few, if any, workers in Canon Parrott's flock work the land, and so he updated the service to bless the congregation's laptops, iPhones and BlackBerries.
