Fin and Snoot count meebs by putting them into equal rows and using multiplication.

What is an array?

As array is a group of things arranged into rows and columns.

You can use arrays to help you multiply two numbers.

  • One number will be the number of rows.

  • The other number will be the number of columns.

So 2 x 3 would make 2 rows and 3 columns.

Top tip

It doesn't matter which way round the array is. 2 rows of 3 is the same as 3 rows of 2.

Use whichever way works better for you.

Snoot and Fin add and multiply to find out how many pests are in their kitchen.
