Exclamation marks
An exclamation mark is used to show when something is surprising or forceful. It helps make the meaning of the sentence clear.
If you want to shout, cry, or show that you feel strongly about something you can finish that sentence with an exclamation mark.
Unlike those quiet question marks or timid full stops, the exclamation mark cries out for attention. The unsuspecting prey is shocked.
When the words meaning gets lost, the exclamation mark helps give a clear message.
