Facts about Colin Middleton

Colin was a painter from Belfast. He was born in1910 and he died in 1983.

He went to Belfast Royal Academy where his art teacher, Miss Dixon, encouraged her students to use their imagination and be creative.

Colin became a much-loved Northern Irish painter who sometimes painted in the Surrealist style.

What did Colin paint?

He painted landscapes and people. A landscape painting is a painting of the countryside.

Colin painted all around Northern Ireland in places such as Belfast, Ardglass, Bangor and Ballyhalbert and had exhibitions in Belfast, Dublin and London.
