There are always rumours about how scary teachers are at secondary school. Here are a few friendly teachers who set the record straight and have plenty of tips to make you feel more comfortable and help you settle into your new school.

Tips:

  • Listen very carefully to what you’ve been told

  • Follow the instructions you’re given

  • Enjoy yourself

  • Your form tutor will be an important person to you and the one who can help with any concerns you may have. If a teacher is setting homework that takes too long, or if you’re struggling with a classmate, or any concern that you don’t want to share with a new friend, it’s easy to go to your form tutor who you’ll see every day.
