Why are we doing this and how can you participate?

The ±«Óătv and Wall to Wall Media are giving you the chance to win one (1) of three (3) prize bundles, with each bundle consisting of a school shirt signed by the cast and a Waterloo Road school tie from the actual costume department.

To enter simply answer the question found on the online form, providing some personal details so that we can arrange to send you your prize, should you win. Winners will be chosen at random from those who answer the question correctly.

The ±«Óătv and Wall to Wall Media will collect the personal data via an online platform.

What personal data will the ±«Óătv and Wall to Wall Media collect?

The ±«Óătv and Wall to Wall Media will collect and process the following personal data about you:

  • Name
  • Telephone number
  • Email address 

If you win one of the prizes, we will also collect your postal address so that we can send you your prize.

The ±«Óătv and Wall to Wall Media are the “Data Controllers” of your personal data. This means that the ±«Óătv and Wall to Wall Media decide what your personal data is used for, and the ways in which it is processed. The lawful basis on which the ±«Óătv processes the personal data is the performance of its public task. The ±«Óătv also have a legal obligation to process the personal data of the winners to comply with relevant competition regulations.

Sharing your personal data

The ±«Óătv works with our approved third-party providers who help us to provide some of our services. These partners only use your personal data on behalf of the ±«Óătv and not independently of the ±«Óătv. 

The ±«Óătv may share personal data with a third party where required or permitted by law. 

Retaining your personal data

If you are unsuccessful, your personal data held by the ±«Óătv will be deleted 5th November 2024.

The personal data of winners will be held by the ±«Óătv for two (2) years for audit and compliance reasons.

The ±«Óătv follows the data protection rules when we collect and use your personal data. The rule that we are using to collect your personal data for anything you upload on our website is called “public task.” We use this rule because the ±«Óătv was created to inform, educate, and entertain and your creation might help us with doing that. 

We also have a legal obligation to keep the personal data of the winners so that we can show that the competition was run fairly. 

Will your personal data be shared?   

When we have to share your information with other people, we will only share it so we can do our job or when the law says that we have to. When your personal data is shared with someone else, they must keep it safe and only use it in a way that the ±«Óătv tells them they can use it. 

Whenever you upload something on our platform, this will also be checked by somebody at the ±«Óătv to make sure that it does not go against our rules. If it does, then it will be deleted.
