Roller skates

Contributed by Tina Gribbon

These skates were rescued from a skip in 1981 and are the same as I played with as a child in the 1950's in the North West of England. The skates were shared by all the children in the street - sometimes we just had one each!
They were manufactured by Union Hardware & Co, Torkington Conn USA. Patented April 11 1899.
