This carved stone block shows two heads with bulging eyes. The man on the right has a beard and moustache. The shape of the stone shows it was originally part of a doorway surround, and was probably just one of a band of carved heads.
It was found in Exeter near the site of St James Priory. It is made from yellow sandstone, quarried at Salcombe Regis in Devon.
