Family bible

Contributed by ±«Óãtv Somerset

This family bible was given by Hannah Moore who was a well known philanthropic reformer who set up many schools in Somerset. The bible spans numerous generations and shows the relationships to Weston-super-Mare as the family were instrumental in setting up the Salvation Army (even though they owned a pub next door). The family was also involved in the "great court case" which saw a battle over who had the rights to the famous beach sands.
