Dr Marten Boots

Contributed by Sophia

These are a pair of Boots I have had since I was 15, They came with me though out me teenage years, have been to many festivals and still walk me though my adult life.
The Dr Marten Brand is over 50 years old, the company began with Two doctors hoping to start a revolution in workmans footwear. The boots Supplied Postmen, Policemen, Miners and all the general working class workforce for many years and still do. In the late 50's early 60's the band was taken over by teenage subcultures such as Mods, Rockers and the infamous Skinheads shapeing the ideals of young people all over Britian.

I have a personal relationship with my boots and almost every person who owns them respects their history. The global fashion icon is a part of the music industry and a British celebration if indiviuality for youths around the world.

Definitely one of the most memorable and well loved boot brand. I too have had various pairs since my youth, mainly shoes. All built for comfort, some are getting more stylish, and less feared as footwear.
