Roles and responsibilities
- Phil is the ±«Óãtv Company Secretary, and also Chief of Staff to the Chair and Director-General.
- He is responsible for corporate governance across the ±«Óãtv and manages the business of the ±«Óãtv Board, the Executive Committee and all other corporate decision-making bodies across the ±«Óãtv Group.
- As Chief of Staff to the ±«Óãtv’s Chair and Director-General, he runs the private office that supports them in undertaking their duties.
Biography
Phil is the ±«Óãtv’s Company Secretary and Chief of Staff.
As Company Secretary he is responsible for corporate governance across the ±«Óãtv – managing the activities of the ±«Óãtv Board, the Executive Committee and all other corporate decision-making bodies across the ±«Óãtv Group.
As Chief of Staff he is the principal adviser to the ±«Óãtv’s Chair and Director-General; he runs the private office that supports them in undertaking their duties.
Phil is the executive sponsor of the ±«Óãtv’s LGBTQ+ staff group, ±«Óãtv Pride, and is a Trustee of the ±«Óãtv Media Action, the ±«Óãtv’s international development charity.
Phil began working for the ±«Óãtv in 2005 for the then-governing body of the Corporation, the Board of Governors. He subsequently worked for the ±«Óãtv Trust, where he was Head of Governance. He joined the ±«Óãtv Executive as Company Secretary in 2014 and is now also the Chief of Staff to the ±«Óãtv Chair and Director-General.
Phil joined the ±«Óãtv after working for the charitable sector and the civil service in Australia.

- £190,000-£194,999
Expenses and central bookings
Expenses are costs incurred by ±«Óãtv staff on behalf of the ±«Óãtv and claimed through the ±«Óãtv's expenses system.
Central bookings are costs incurred on behalf of the ±«Óãtv and booked through the ±«Óãtv's central bookings system. Both expenses and central bookings are published every three months.
