Programme Delivery

Delivering content for broadcast on ±«Óãtv Radio Scotland

What do we mean by 'Delivery'?

It means the actual delivery of the complete, compliant programme and all the associated data required by ±«Óãtv Radio Scotland.

What is my delivery date?

radioscotland.schedules@bbc.co.uk will send confirmation of your tx slot(s) and programme number(s)

Recorded programmes must be delivered at least 3 weeks before the transmission date. This allows time for promotional activity to take place.

When can late delivery occur?

Variation to the delivery date must be formally agreed with radioscotland.schedules@bbc.co.uk. There must be a valid reason for late delivery, i.e. topicality, technical problems, or late commissions.

What is meant by 'Topicality'?

The topicality of a programme can affect the delivery date. The topicality status of a programme is determined by the editorial nature of its content. A topical status will only be awarded to those programmes which relate directly to live or current events and therefore require some last-minute production.
